Jennifer Valorose has been a research associate at Rainbow since June 2005. She has experience evaluating collaborations, housing and redevelopment programs, physical activity and tobacco cessation programs, and adult and youth education programs. She is experienced at conducting in-person and phone interviews, developing tools, creating logic models, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and writing reports. She has worked with several cultural communities, including Native American, Somali, Hispanic, and Southeast Asian communities.
Valorose earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Mathematics from the College of St. Benedict and a Master's Degree in Public Policy, with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Nonprofit Management, from the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute. Her graduate research included an extensive look at the City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County’s efforts to improve the lives of children and youth. Additional graduate work included study of environmental economics and policy implications.
Prior to coming to Rainbow Research, Valorose was the business administrator for a nonprofit in North Minneapolis working on youth outreach and an information technology professional at IBM Global Services.
