One of the nation’s most respected agricultural and food organizations, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) works locally and globally at the intersection of policy and practice to ensure fair and sustainable food, farm and trade systems.
Using their years of experience in dealing with food production and distribution systems, IATP is creating strategies to increase the availability of healthy foods in Minnesota K-12 school settings, expand urban agriculture in Minneapolis, and enhance the accessibility of fresh fruits and vegetables in corner grocery stores state-wide.
IATP will develop strategies to support increased use of locally grown fruits and vegetables in schools throughout the state, work with city officials on development of policies that support urban agriculture, and work with public and business partners to expand the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables at corner stores that accept WIC vouchers.
