Professional Development Assets and Needs Assessment Online Survey Results

Rainbow Research conducted an on-line survey on behalf of the Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD) Intercultural Professional Development Committee to: (a) guide in decisions regarding the provision of staff development, and (b) serve as a baseline for assessing the impact of any such opportunities provided. The needs assessment survey focused on three areas, as defined by committee members and scholars: inter-cultural competence; curriculum development, classroom management, and instructional strategies; and parent-community partnership building. Rainbow developed the survey tool based on current literature on school practices for intercultural competence.
