Document Review
In this methodology, Rainbow Research utilizes preexisting
documents to gather information about a program being evaluated.
Examples of document reviews
include:
- analysis of grantee reports to assess the quality, effectiveness
and impact of grant making processes, including what
worked well and what could be improved;
- case file audits where a number of case files are randomly
selected and analyzed for adherence to program protocol
and requirements;
- analysis of program records, which might include attendance,
meeting minutes, and other information that program staff
routinely collect to identify process outcomes.
